We have appointments available to book in advance:  24 hours 48 hours 1 week 2 weeks We also have appointments available to book on the same day for urgent problems. We do our best to try to give them to patients who are in genuine need of being seen on the same day. Some patients prefer to consult with a doctor on the phone and so we also offer the opportunity for you to speak to a doctor on the telephone. This service is usually available before 11.30 am. Please tell the receptionist if you would prefer a telephone consultation. The Reception/Triage Team is fully trained and is there to help you. Please remember that they can only offer you what is available. Our appointments telephone line is open from 8 am until 6 pm Monday to Friday. At the busiest times i.e. from 8 am – 10 am we have three receptionists taking calls for bookings but if the matter is routine you should ring after 10 am. We offer late appointments on 2 evenings a week until 8 pm. When asking for an appointment, you may request any doctor of your choice. It may not always be possible for you to see a particular doctor at a time of your choosing but we will offer you the next available appointment with that doctor. Some of our doctors have additional languages and can speak Tamil, Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, German and French. Please ask the receptionist if you require a consultation in any of the languages above. If you find you are unable to attend a pre-booked appointment please let us know. We have a 24/7 cancellation service. Telephone the surgery number and choose OPTION 4. When the surgery is closed. The surgery is open from 8 am – 6 pm Monday to Friday. Outside of these hours the practice uses a deputising service; LOCAL CARE DIRECT, for emergencies. Please telephone the surgery and you will be put through to this service. You can also telephone NHS Direct at any time as this is a 24 hour service. They can give you advice and information about your symptoms and will tell you the best course of action. Tel: 0845 46 47.
