Registrars and Medical Students
Ours is a training/teaching practice. Our registrars, who are attached to our practice for up to 12 months are fully qualified and have a great deal of hospital experience.
A compulsory part of the assessment of GP Registrars is they have their consultations recorded on videotape.
You may be asked if you would mind having your consultation recorded. If you agree, you will be asked to sign a consent form before and after seeing the doctor. You may be assured that the video will be treated confidentially and will be viewed only by the doctors qualified in training and assessing other doctors, and these tapes will be erased after use.
We also teach 4th year medical students on occations throughout the year. They normally sit alongside a gp, but you are not obliged to have them in the room during your consultation.
